NEW ULTRA-PRECISION PROCESS SOLUTION FOR AEROSPACE OPTICS
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
A research and development project involving both internal and external expertise, including the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Udine, aimed at studying, researching, defining, developing, testing, and validating a process solution suitable for manufacturing mirrors intended for aerospace applications in the telecommunications sector.
PROJECT PURPOSE:
Identification of an innovative production process designed to manufacture mirrors with different diameters and geometries, featuring specific surface treatments on both sides, intended for use on satellites in the telecommunications sector.
EXPECTED RESULTS:
Acquisition of know-how and validation of a process solution for the production of micro- and nano-scale and/or detailed components for aerospace mirrors.
